Aashi Patel, a junior at Crisp County High School was selected for Youth LEAD Georgia, in partnership with Chick-fil-A, Rodney Bullard’s The Same House, and the University of Georgia’s J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development, dedicated to nurturing the future leaders of our state.
During this program, participants have the opportunity to enhance leadership skills, explore post-high school success avenues, and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities within Georgia's communities.
The Bullard Community Project is a funded resource project that allows members to make a difference in their community by addressing a specific need. Aashi's proposal was selected for enactment, and will focus on anxiety in children and teens. She has chosen to partner with the Girl Scouts of America to provide mental health awareness among the younger generation. They will organize a tent at the Calhoun Produce "Christmas on the Farm" on November 30th. This booth named "Art in Action" will allow Aashi, Girl Scout Troop #40351 and Leader Candice Morey the opportunity to spread awareness about the importance of good mental health in children and adolescents in today's society.
Crisp County is proud of Aashi and the strides she has taken to become a leader, not just in our school and community, but in the state of Georgia!
